Non-profit organizations encouraged to apply for $25,000 grant

Raiz Federal Credit Union supports local changemakers with annual grant initiative

EL PASO, TX (April 18, 2024) — Raiz Federal Credit Union opened the application period for its Together We Raiz Grant, a $25,000 community grant awarded annually to two local non-profit organizations. This grant was created with the goal of helping non-profit organizations increase their impact by funding essential organization needs such as program support, professional development, or new equipment and supplies. Applications for the grant are now being accepted online at www.raiz.us until July 3, 2024.

The role that non-profit organizations have in our community is much greater than many may be aware of. Hundreds of non-profits serve to uplift the El Paso area by addressing a wide range of critical issues, providing essential services, and creating safe spaces for the underserved. Although each organization’s mission is different, one thing rings true, they are all made up of passionate individuals who are dedicated to improving the lives of those around them.

“It is important to foster a culture of empowerment and social responsibility,” said Alejandro Yu, VP of Marketing at Raiz Federal Credit Union. “The Together We Raiz Grant is an opportunity to build a stronger, more vibrant community, where everyone has the opportunity to thrive. We encourage all eligible organizations to apply and share their inspiring visions for a better tomorrow.”

The application process for the Together We Raiz Grant is open to 501(c)3 non-profit organizations operating within El Paso County, Texas-Mexico border that have been founded and operating for the last three years. Applicants are required to submit a detailed proposal outlining their organization’s mission, proposed project or initiative, anticipated impact, and budgetary considerations. A selection committee comprised of Raiz representatives will review all applications and select the grant recipients based on the strength of their proposals and their potential to effect positive and innovative change in the community.
