Northwest Federal employees help fight hunger with 3rd annual Summertime Food Drive
HERNDON, VA (September 16, 2016) — Northwest Federal Credit Union’s employees donated a truck load of food and $2,500 during the Credit Union’s 3rd annual Summertime Food Drive. Donations benefitted LINK, Inc., a local non-profit providing emergency food to people in need near Northwest Federal’s headquarters in Herndon, Va.
“Our Summertime Food Drive addresses an unfortunate reality—the state of many individuals and families in our community being without access to a sufficient quantity of affordable, nutritious food,” said President and CEO of Northwest Federal, Chris McDonald. “Northwest Federal’s employees are proud to assist LINK, Inc. in the vital work they do in our community to provide food to those in need.”
