The scholarship committee, made up of Notre Dame FCU partners (employees) and members of its Board of Directors, selected students who demonstrated a well-rounded portfolio of academics, financial need, community involvement, leadership and participation in academic activities.
Notre FCU hosted a reception at the Morris Inn last Friday to celebrate the 2019 recipients. Reba Hayes, Executive Administrative Assistant to the CEO and Committee Chair, stated, “For the first time, the applicants were required to submit a video response to the essay questions which helped streamline this exciting process. Out of the 82 applications submitted, we were able to award 32 scholarships- a new record!”
Notre Dame FCU’s President and CEO, Tom Gryp, added, “Over the last seven years, Notre Dame FCU has been honored to be able to award over 100 scholarships to deserving students. My hope is that each recipient will use their award wisely to not only improve their own lives but pay it forward to others as well.”
