Notre Dame Federal Credit Union membership elects new board and Supervisory Committee members at annual meeting
NOTRE DAME, IN (May 31, 2016) — Notre Dame Federal Credit Union members elected two new board members and one new Supervisory Committee member at its annual meeting earlier this month.
Newly elected to the credit union’s Board of Directors are Fr. Mark Thesing, C.S.C. and Jerry Langley. Sam Centellas will also join the credit union’s Supervisory Committee as its newest member.
Fr. Thesing is the Director of Finance and Administration for the Mendoza College of Business at The University of Notre Dame. He was ordained a Holy Cross priest in 1986, and earned three degrees from Notre Dame, including a B.S. in Mathematics, Master of Divinity and M.B.A. He also pursued Ph.D. studies in Strategic Management at University North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He currently serves the Men of Duncan and the Notre Dame Football team as chaplain.
Jerry Langley previously held a seat on Notre Dame FCU’s Supervisory Committee, and is currently the Executive in Residence at The University of Notre Dame. In addition to teaching a number of finance courses there, he is also the faculty advisor to the MBA Finance and Investment Club and is coordinator of the annual Financial Executives Alumni Conference. He serves on the boards of the South Bend Civic Theatre and Musical Arts Indiana. He is a CPA and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Sam Centellas is the Executive Director at La Casa de Amistad, Inc. and has his Master of Education from Grand Valley State University. He is also an Organizational Consultant at OutSight Design & Consulting and Commissioner of the South Bend Housing Authority. He has spent time overseeing student life and development at Ivy Tech Community College, Indiana University South Bend and Albion College.
