Nuvision Credit Union honors military personnel with gas and carwash giveaway

DJ Sean Valentine and Navy Seal Cadets Join Celebration of Veterans at Huntington Beach

HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA (May 23, 2019)Nuvision Credit Union – a full-service financial institution serving members in Los Angeles and Orange County – will host its fifth annual gas-giveaway on Memorial Day, in honor of veterans and active military personnel. The two-hour giveaway, scheduled from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. on May 27, will take place at the Mobil station in Huntington Beach located on Beach Blvd. and Edinger Ave.

Nuvision will offer military members complimentary car washes from Xpress Car Wash, located next to the Mobil station, in addition to the traditional courtesy gas fill-ups the credit union has gifted in past years. As a gesture of appreciation to all the men and women who have made great sacrifice in their lives to preserve the life and liberty of others, Nuvision hosts this event to recognize the selfless acts of these devoted, hardworking individuals that serve the country.

“Nuvision is eternally grateful to the members of the military who serve to protect the country and safeguard the lifestyles we’re able to afford at their expense,” said Tom Sweet, Nuvision Credit Union’s vice president of marketing. “This annual event is our way of thanking the self-sacrificing individuals who have helped build better lives not just for the people of today, but for the many generations to come.”

In addition to the giveaway, military members will be joined by special guest Sean Valentine, host of the local 104.3 F.M. morning show, and Navy Seal cadets to honor those who have served.

“Last year, we serviced about 250 vehicles and pumped nearly 3,000 gallons of gas in military members’ autos,” added Sweet. “We hope to beat that record this year and put even more smiles on the faces of these military members who have given so much to our country.”

Nuvision will also host a gas giveaway in Cheyenne, Wyom., where last year the credit union served a free tank of gas to more than 500 veterans and active military members. The organization anticipates this year’s event will be even more successful than the last. Nuvision is also planning to donate more than 200 free gas cards, each valued at $50, to military personnel in the following communities: Mesa, Ariz.; Kent, Wash.; and Tikahtnu, Alaska.
