Ocean Financial Federal Credit Union celebrates grand opening of new on-site micro-branch at Catholic Health’s Mercy Hospital

Rockville Centre, NY (February 10, 2026) |

Ocean Financial Federal Credit Union (Ocean Financial) hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the grand opening of its new on-site micro-branch at Catholic Health’s Mercy Hospital in Rockville Centre, NY.

The approximately 200 square foot branch features two Member Service Representative (MSR) stations and one hybrid teller/MSR station. Despite its compact footprint, the branch will offer a full range of services, including new account openings, consumer loans, digital banking support, and personalized financial counseling. The on-site branch is designed to provide easy access to everyday banking and overall financial well-being.

This is the second micro-branch opened by Ocean Financial, following its first micro-branch opening at Molloy University in 2024.

“Catholic Health is one of the most respected organizations on Long Island and, importantly, a vital part of the community,” said Joseph Tedesco, President and CEO of Ocean Financial Federal Credit Union. “Because we share so many core values, this partnership represents a significant step forward for Ocean Financial.”

Ocean Financial signed an agreement with Mercy Hospital to bring a fully staffed, on-site micro-branch of the credit union directly to the hospital’s campus. The collaboration is designed to provide convenient, high-quality financial services to hospital employees, and volunteers.

“Supporting our people isn’t just about what happens inside our walls—it’s about helping them thrive in life. We’re proud to offer our employees meaningful, in-house access to financial partners like Ocean Financial, who can help them feel more confident about their future,” said Joseph Manopella, President of Mercy Hospital.

The event capped a week of festivities welcoming Ocean Financial to the Mercy Campus, including “Cup of Joe on Joe,” providing an opportunity for Mercy employees to meet Ocean Financial President Joe Tedesco, and inviting hospital staff to the branch to receive  free bags of blue and gold popcorn, signifying the brand colors of both Ocean Financial and Mercy Hospital.
