Ocean Financial Federal Credit Union (OFFCU) announced today the appointment of Douglas Brinkman as CFO. He was previously the Regional Manager of Business Development at Pentagon Federal Credit Union, where he was responsible for developing a platform to analyze and evaluate new business opportunities, such as aggregating old and new data to determine the viability of the opportunity from a strategic compatibility standpoint.
“Douglas will play an important role helping to analyze the company’s financial strengths and weaknesses. He has extensive knowledge and experience from his prior position as CFO at Sperry Associates Federal Credit Union. He is going to be a great addition to our team, and we look forward to having him aboard” said Joseph Tedesco, President and CEO of Ocean Financial Federal Credit Union.
Mr. Brinkman has been recognized as a leader in the financial industry for over three decades, having left a lasting impression on the organizations that he has served throughout the years.
Prior to his service at Pentagon, Brinkman spent 12 years at Sperry Associates Federal Credit Union and was the CFO from 2013 until 2020. He oversaw the company’s progress of capital ratio that started at 4.50% at the end of 2012 and increased to 8.42% by September of 2020. During his time there, the company upgraded from a CAMEL 4 to a CAMEL 2 institution.
He has also held senior and managerial positions at other companies such as Cantor Fitzgerald, Advest Financial, and First Empire Securities.
He earned an MBA from Adelphi University and a BA in Sociology from Susquehanna University.
