Old West Chapter sponsors Biz Kid$ Box Set for CMN Hospital

RAPID CITY, SD (March 26, 2014) -- When Credit Unions for Kids & the National Credit Union Foundation partnered to enhance the financial education opportunities for patients and families at every Children's Miracle Network (CMN) hospital in the U.S., the Old West Chapter of Credit Unions from Western South Dakota immediately jumped on board.

Biz Kid$ is the Emmy Award winning and credit union funded public television series that teaches kids about money management and entrepreneurship, and now, Rapid City Regional Hospital will have a box set of Biz Kid$ DVDs for patients and families to enjoy.

“Our credit unions and credit union chapters in the Dakotas have shown increasing support for the Children’s Miracle Hospitals over the last several years, participating in national events such as Miracle Jeans Day and holding individual fundraisers such as bake sales and garage sales” said CUAD President/CEO Robbie Thompson.  “This is just another great example of the good that credit unions do for their communities each and every day,” he added.

Headquartered in Bismarck, ND, the Credit Union Association of the Dakotas (CUAD) is the professional financial trade association serving 75 credit unions in North and South Dakota with assets in excess of $5.5 billion and serving over 461,300 credit union members.
