OMNI CCU announces Debi Southworth as Chief Financial Officer
BATTLE CREEK, MICH (December 5, 2023) — OMNI Community Credit Union was pleased to announce the promotion of Debi Southworth to Chief Financial Officer.
As CFO, Debi aims to elevate the credit union’s financial health by emphasizing strategic budgeting and robust risk management, and fostering long-term stability. Additionally, she is committed to cultivating collaboration among team members to consistently deliver exceptional products and services to the membership.
“I am excited to see Debi take over the CFO responsibilities at OMNI,” CEO Mark Cramer noted. “Throughout her tenure, she has demonstrated her ability to think both strategically and analytically as part of our Executive Team. Debi brings over 20 years of experience in the financial industry. She began her career in 2000 at Bank One (JP Morgan) and also US Bank in the Commercial Banking department. She joined OMNI Community Credit Union in 2009 and for the past 15 years, has held various roles such as Credit Manager, Chief Lending Officer, and most recently, Chief Operating Officer. She has sat on the Financial Committee for the Battle Creek Community Foundation, served on the Battle Creek Area Chamber of Commerce Board for 10 years, and has also served on the Battle Creek Area Chamber of Commerce Finance Committee for the last 3 years. Debi currently volunteers her time on the Michigan Credit Union League Government Affairs Committee and the Michigan Credit Union Foundation.
Debi has lived in the Southwest Michigan area for almost 15 years. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, cooking and baking, and spending time with her family.
