Orange County’s Credit Union raises $15,553 for Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC)
Santa Ana-based credit union concludes fundraising campaign in tribute to the 2024 CHOC walk in the park, presented by Disneyland® resort
SANTA ANA, CA (July 24, 2024) — Orange County’s Credit Union, a Santa Ana-based financial services provider with more than 135,000 Members, raised $15,553 to benefit Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC) through a fundraising campaign in honor of the 2024 CHOC Walk in the Park presented by Disneyland® Resort.
Leading up to the annual CHOC Walk in the Park on Sunday, July 21, Orange County’s Credit Union orchestrated the involvement of over 90 Members and Associates in its fundraising efforts. These efforts included sweepstakes, silent auctions, donations from friends and family through social media awareness, and fundraising through food and art sales across the organization’s various departments and branches. As a result of these collective efforts, Orange County’s Credit Union placed third in funds raised and second in participants among all other Credit Union’s for Kids Teams.
“Our Members and Associates look forward to the CHOC Walk in the Park every year. It’s inspiring to see our team and valued Members come together through various fundraising initiatives to support CHOC and their incredible work within the community,” said Kathy Jumper, CEO of Orange County’s Credit Union. “Our fundraising goal, through this event and others throughout the year, is to create a positive impact beyond our branches. We’re proud to unite with many other local organizations through this Walk to aid in CHOC’s mission to provide a more hopeful future for those in need.”
Orange County’s Credit Union has participated in CHOC Walk in the Park for 16 years to raise necessary funds for programs, education, and research for children in Southern California. CHOC relies on local community support to provide leading-edge care for infants, children and adolescents close to their homes. The annual fundraiser ensures CHOC can continue nurturing, advancing, and protecting children’s health and well-being throughout Orange County and its surrounding areas.
