Oscar Porras name Senior Consultant, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at Humanidei & O’Rourke

NEW YORK, NY (March 23, 2021)

Humanidei + O’Rourke, a human capital strategies firm serving the credit union industry, is proud to announce that Oscar Porras will join the company as Senior Consultant: Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.

Porras joins Humanidei + O’Rourke with over 20 years of operations, lending, and community outreach experience primarily working with underrepresented communities. He is bilingual (English/Spanish), which allows Humanidei + O’Rourke to add Spanish language interviewing to the suite of recruitment services provided. Porras’ most recent work experience was with Point West Credit Union in Portland, Oregon: A credit union renowned for its work in serving diverse populations since the early 2000s.

There’s a lot of work to be done in helping connect the right people with the right credit union.”

In his new role, Porras will work with clients to design and implement strategies that create inclusive workplaces. This includes recruiting diverse candidate pools as well as creating large-scale DEI strategies that lead to organization-wide change management, evaluating and coaching on areas like career path and performance management programs that lead to internal equity; building DEI Advisory Groups or Employee Resource Groups that support inclusion; evaluation of products, programs, and systems that create equity; and conducting Voice of the Employee research to understand employee experience.

As the firm continues to grow, Humanidei + O’Rourke is currently recruiting for an additional consultant to join the team.
