Over $7.25 Million in direct financial benefit provided to Day Air members in 2020.

Day Air Credit Union, the largest financial institution headquartered in Montgomery County, is proud to announce they provided $7,229,369 in direct financial benefit to their members in 2020. Compared to area and national financial institutions Day Air households kept an extra $330 in their wallets in the twelve months ending in September 2020, according to a recent Datatrac report.

Additionally, Day Air is excited to share that its high-use member households, those who use Day Air as their primary financial institution (PFI), were provided $973 in direct financial benefits.

“As a member-owned credit union, our purpose is to provide value to our members and make their money work harder for them,” said Day Air President and CEO Bill Burke. “This report is proof that we’re doing what we set out to do, and just one of the ways we provide a better banking experience.”

Day Air is among the top performing credit unions in the state, as such, it outperformed the average savings provided by all Ohio credit unions of $192 per member household. Combined all Ohio credit unions provided $278,919,755 in direct financial benefit compared to other financial institutions in 2020, according to a report by the Credit Union National Association (CUNA) and Datatrac.

Day Air Credit Union is member-owned and democratic, focused on creating value for members. As a result Day Air members often enjoy fewer fees and an over better banking experience. Day Air also tends to offer lower average interest rates on personal unsecured loans, fixed-rate first mortgages, home equity loans and new and used car loans. One example cited in the report shows that financing a new $25,000 automobile for 60 months at a typical Ohio credit union would save borrowers an average of $700 over the life of the loan.
