Over 700 attend Community Fest, scholarships announced

RADCLIFF, KY (May 25, 2018) — Fort Knox Federal Credit Union hosted its 67th Annual Business Meeting and 2018 Community Fest on May 8th at John Hardin High School. Over 700 credit union and community members attended this year’s event making it one of the most successful to date.

During the event, the credit union also announced the winners of the Howard Roush Memorial Scholarship. Four college-bound students attending high school in Fort Knox Federal Credit Union’s service area were selected to receive $1,000 scholarships. Two of the 2018 scholarship winners, Ryan Witt from Glasgow High School and Allie Sutton from North Hardin High School, are pictured below. The other two winners (not pictured) are Grayson Stinger from  Elizabethtown High School and Mallory Williams from LaRue County High School.

Now the largest Kentucky-based credit union, Fort Knox Federal Credit Union was founded in 1950 by 10 charter members. Over the years, the credit union expanded to serve both military and civilian personnel but the organization’s mission remained the same: to improve the financial lives of member-owners. Today, the credit union serves more than 100,000 members.

“Everything we do is for the benefit of our members and community,” says Ray Springsteen, CEO of Fort Knox Federal Credit Union. “The Community Fest is just one way we try to spread the credit union difference and engage with current and potential members.”

The credit union has been recognized multiple times in recent years for offering some of the best loan and savings rates in the country to its members. Fort Knox Federal’s geographic footprint includes 17 branches. Consumers may learn more about membership eligibility and join online at www.fortknoxfcu.org.
