Vanessa joined PAHO/WHO Federal Credit Union in August 2024 and leads the organization’s risk management, compliance, fraud, and internal audit functions. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Commonwealth University (formerly Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania) and brings more than 13 years of experience in the banking and credit union industry.

“Vanessa’s achievement of the CIA designation not only highlights her dedication to professional development but also strengthens the Credit Union’s commitment to maintaining strong compliance and risk management practices,” said Miguel Boluda, Jr., CEO of PAHO/WHO Federal Credit Union. “We are proud to celebrate this accomplishment with her and to support professional development for all our employees.”

The CIA designation is the only globally recognized credential for internal auditors and demonstrates proficiency in internal audit standards, risk evaluation, and governance practices.
