Peach State Federal Credit Union donates $2,000 to the Family Resource Center of Northeast Georgia
LAWRENCEVILLE, GA (July 31, 2020) — Peach State Federal Credit Union has donated $2,000 to the Family Resource Center (FRC) of Northeast Georgia.
The FRC works to create and sustain healthy families and communities by providing services and activities that focus on improving parenting skills, parent-child attachment, stress reduction, and the development of coping skills with a goal of strengthening family relationships. The organization does this through counseling, supervised family visitation, parenting classes and workshops. They also provide classes for the community and specialized training to help adults identify and prevent child abuse of all forms.
“It is through grants and support from organizations like Peach State that we are able to offer a multitude of services to the community at no cost,” said Maddie Ash, Executive Director for the FRC of Northeast Georgia. “In return, our programs increase the capacity of families to be healthy, involved members of dynamic communities.”
“We were made aware of the FRC and their efforts in Northeast Georgia through MaryBeth Thomas, who is a member of Peach State’s Board of Directors. The programs and services provided by the FRC are important to the health and strength of our community, and we are proud to support them with this donation,” remarked Marshall Boutwell, President/CEO for Peach State FCU.
Peach State reinvests directly into their communities through donations to charitable organizations like the FRC, support for education and the arts. The credit union donated more than $500,000 in 2019 and plans to continue making these contributions with the support of their Peach State C.A.R.E.S. VISA® Debit Card program.
