MHV is Peekskill’s first credit union. While credit unions offer similar products and services as banks, they operate as not-for-profit without stockholder interest or paid Boards of Directors. This business structure allows credit unions to offer lower fees, additional services, and deeper community investments. The credit union credo is “People Helping People”.
Located at 3 North Broad Street, the Branch offers traditional in-branch tellers as well as
MHV’s Video Personal Tellers (PTs). PTs conduct banking transactions via video and allow members to bank 7 days a week. The Branch also provides personal and car loans, credit cards, mortgage products, and MHV’s Investment & Retirement Center services.
“We are very excited to serve the residents and small business owners of the Peekskill community,” says Wayne Winkler, President & CEO of MHV. “The vision for this project started in 2019, when our credit union was granted a charter expansion to serve the counties of Westchester, Rockland, Putnam and Sullivan counties. The people of Peekskill have been generous in welcoming us and we look forward to providing financial services and guidance in return.”
In addition to banking services, the credit union has built a deep offering of financial education resources. Webinars, articles, podcast episodes, downloads, and videos are all available for members and the general public.
MHV Peekskill is open Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM and on Saturday from 9 AM to 2 PM. Video Personal Tellers are available 7 days a week.
