Pen Air FCU Celebrates Military Appreciation Month in May

April 27, 2012- Pensacola, Fla. — To celebrate Military Appreciation Month, Pen Air Federal Credit Union is doubling all points earned by Premier Relationship Rewards members, as well as accepting donations to the local USO in hopes of doubling the $5,000 raised by members in May 2011.
When a member makes a donation of any amount to the USO, they will be encouraged to fill out a paper jet to commemorate an active or retired military member, and for an added piece of fun, they will receive Double Bubble bubblegum to coincide with Pen Air FCU’s double points promotion.
Pen Air FCU is also teaming up with TK101/Clear Channel for Cell Phones for Soldiers. Each Pen Air FCU branch with be a drop-off location for used cell phones that equal talking minutes for military overseas to call their loved ones.

The mission of the USO is to “to lift the spirits of service members and their families, wherever they may serve, until everyone comes home.” The USO aims to provide comfort, help, and much needed programs for troops and their families.
To become a Premier Relationship Reward member, a member needs a Checking and Savings account, debit card, and eStatements. Pen Air FCU Premier Members earn free points on everyday services, including Bill Pay, mortgages, car loans, eStatements, and also through shopping through the CURewards Mall. Points may be redeemed for travel and various merchandise.
Pen Air FCU is a not-for-profit, member-owned financial institution originally chartered in 1936 to serve civil service and military employees assigned to our military bases in the area, as well as their immediate families. Pen Air FCU now serves many other employee groups, with 19 branches in Northwest Florida and Southwest Alabama, including four student-run branches at area high schools.
