Pen Air Federal Credit Union raises $4,000 for Ronald McDonald House

PENSACOLA, FL (August 13, 2015) — Pen Air Federal Credit Union presented the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Norwest Florida with a check for $4,000 from funds raised through Pen Air FCU employee Jeans for Generosity fund raising days and other fund raising efforts.

The check presentation was made to Judy Burns, Executive Director of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northwest Florida (RMH) at the Pen Air Federal Credit Union with the help of Pen Air staff.

“On behalf of the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northwest Florida, I want to thank Pen Air Federal Credit Union for being there for us and the many families we serve. Not only has Pen Air provided us with greatly needed funds, but also man hours in voluntary service and meal preparations for our guests. This show of generosity will definitely help future efforts,” commented Ms. Burns.

Pen Air FCU President/CEO, Stewart Ramsey explains, “Our internal Charitable Events Committee sends out an annual survey to staff asking for their input on local charities to support and the Ronald McDonald House was one of the charities chosen. Pen Air Federal Credit Union is proud to support the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northwest Florida and all the good work they do.”

Pen Air FCU employees primarily raise funds through Jeans for Generosity days. Jeans for Generosity is an employee-driven fundraising effort to give back to those in need in our community. Each year, our employees nominate local charities to be voted on as recipients of this philanthropic program. Funds raised are matched by Pen Air FCU.
