PenAir Credit Union, community partners deliver over 8,100 snacks to support local cancer patients

SnackStock 2026 highlights the power of community in supporting patients during treatment

PENSACOLA, FL (June 22, 2026) |

PenAir Credit Union (PenAir), in partnership with Ascension Sacred Heart and the Pensacola Blue Wahoos, has successfully completed SnackStock 2026, collecting more than 8,100 individually packaged snacks to support cancer patients receiving treatment at Ascension Sacred Heart Cancer Center.

Throughout the month of May, SnackStock brought together individuals, families, and businesses from across the Pensacola area to meet a simple but meaningful need. Donation sites at PenAir branches and Blue Wahoos home games made it easy for community members to participate, turning small acts of generosity into meaningful support for patients during treatment.

SnackStock is designed to support patients during long days of treatment, when something as simple as a snack can offer comfort, encouragement, and a reminder they are not alone.

“This initiative is a reflection of what makes this community special,” said Connie Hansler, Community Relations Manager at PenAir Credit Union. “We saw people from across our community step up in meaningful ways. SnackStock continues to show how small acts, when done together, can have a real impact on someone’s day.”

This year’s campaign saw strong engagement across the community, with widespread participation helping expand awareness and drive momentum throughout the month.

“Our partnership with PenAir continues to be incredibly meaningful because it brings the community into the experience of care,” said Adrienne Maygarden, President of Ascension Sacred Heart Foundation. “SnackStock gives people a simple, tangible way to show support for patients and families, and that connection makes a difference far beyond the donation itself.”

So far in 2026, Sacred Heart Cancer Center in Pensacola has seen over 5,000 new patients, many of whom spend hours each day receiving care. At the drop off event on June 16, 2026, staff, nurses and patients recount stories of the impact of the snack donations.

“This is amazing,” said a patient at Ascension Sacred Heart Cancer Center. “But, it’s not just about the food. It’s knowing people in the community are thinking about you and want to support you while you’re going through this.”

The 2026 campaign builds on strong momentum from previous years. In 2025, SnackStock resulted in the delivery of more than 7,500 snacks to support local patients, highlighting the continued growth and engagement surrounding the initiative.

PenAir plans to continue building on the success of SnackStock, inviting the community to stay engaged and help expand the initiative’s impact throughout the year. For more information about SnackStock, and how you can get involved with this initiative,  visit www.PenAir.org/SnackStock.
