People’s Credit Union continues longstanding support of MLK, Jr. Community Center donates $2,000 to help local at-risk individuals, families, and seniors

MIDDLETOWN, RI (February 27, 2024) — People’s Credit Union continues to assist the essential work of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Center to help nourish, educate, and support people across Newport County. Head of People’s Credit Union, Sean Daly, and Courtney Hunter, Head of Community Development, recently presented a check for $2,000 to Heather Hole Strout, Executive Director of MLK, Jr. Center, to help fund their many important programs, including hunger assistance.

“The Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Center plays a vital role in promoting health, fighting hunger, supporting families, and engaging seniors in our communities,” said Mr. Daly. “Their vision of empowering people to live their best quality of life aligns perfectly with our commitment to being a catalyst for positive change in the community.”
