People’s Credit Union donates $2,000 to Narrow River Preservation Association

Commits to protecting local estuary and its watershed

MIDDLETOWN, RI (April 18, 2024) — People’s Credit Union recently donated $2,000 to the Narrow River Preservation Association (NRPA) in support of their vision for a thriving and resilient Narrow River (Pettaquamscutt Estuary) and its watershed. Head of People’s Credit Union, Sean Daly, and Head of Community Development, Courtney Hunter, presented a check to NRPA’s President, Veronica M. Berounksy, and Administrative Coordinator, Shirley Freitag.

“Since 1970, the citizen volunteers involved with the NRPA have been engaged in making a tremendous impact on preserving and protecting our environment,” said Mr. Daly. “People’s Credit Union is proud to provide support to NRPA’s crucial research, as well as its educational and recreational programs.”
