People’s Credit Union donates to Boys Town New England
MIDDLETOWN, RI (February 10, 2017) — People’s Credit Union recently donated $548 to Boys Town New England as a result of a monthly employee dress down day, called Casual for a Cause. The funds were raised through a combination of People’s Credit Union employee donations as well as a painted glassware raffle held throughout the month of January in the Credit Union’s Portsmouth branch located at 2537 East Main Road.
Since opening in 1991, Boys Town New England has brought life-changing care to tens of thousands of children and families in Rhode Island and surrounding states. Boys Town New England has five Family Homes that serve adolescents and young children at its Bazarsky Campus. The site also offers Foster Family Services, In-Home Family Services and Community Support Services.
For children who have completed Boys Town New England out-of-home programs, Reunification Services are available to help them make a smooth transition back to their families and maintain and improve their treatment gains. These services and programs touch the lives of 8,000 children and families in New England each year.
