People’s Credit Union promotes Costa

MIDDLETOWN, RI (March 24, 2014) -- Nancy Quick, VP of Sales and Service, is pleased to announce the promotion of Cheryl Costa to Branch Manager of the Credit Union’s Portsmouth location.  In this position, Costa is responsible for managing the activities and staff in the branch office and providing service to members through the effective sales of all Credit Union products and services.

Costa has an extensive background in sales management, including experience in business and consumer relationship building, profit and loss management, operations, compliance, customer service and employee development.  She joined the Credit Union in March 2013 as the Assistant Branch Manager of the Credit Union’s Newport location.  Prior to joining People’s she worked in several positions at Bank of America including AVP, Premier Client Manager, Branch Manager and Assistant Branch Manager.  In her previous positions she oversaw branch operations, led branch sales efforts and anticipated and responded to customer’s daily needs.

“Cheryl has been very successful in her short time at the Credit Union. Her expertise and outstanding customer service skills will make her an asset to our Portsmouth location,” commented Quick.

Costa received her Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth.  She is also involved in many community organizations and she has participated in Save the Bay clean ups and the MDA 5K walk.  In addition, she is a member of the Credit Union’s Community Enhancement Committee, an employee run organization that identifies and coordinates employee volunteer opportunities.  She resides in Swansea, MA.
