People’s Credit Union VP Named Chair of Newport Light the Night Walk

(Middletown, RI): The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society recently named Arthur Paul, Jr, Vice President of Marketing for People’s Credit Union; chair of the Newport Light the Night Walk. The Light the Night Walk is the fastest growing cancer fundraising evening walk in the country, attracting more than 250,000 participants annually. There are two walks in Rhode Island, Newport on September 24 and Garden City on October 1, 2011. Both begin at 5:00 p.m.
“I am honored to serve as chair of such an important event for such a worthwhile organization,” said Paul. At People’s Credit Union Paul is responsible for planning, organizing and directing the activities of the Credit Union’s Marketing Department.
Paul has over 18 years of experience in developing and implanting effective campaigns, he also has expertise in event planning. He graduated with a BA in Business from the University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth Massachusetts School of Financial Studies. Prior to this position he worked as Director of Communications and Marketing for the Francis Quimet Scholarship Fund. Paul is a trustee at Bristol Community College and serves on the Board of Directors for the Newport County Chamber of Commerce. He resides in Somerset, Massachusetts with his family.

People’s Credit Union serves members through six locations in Bristol, Middletown, Newport, North Kingstown, Portsmouth and Wakefield. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) is the world’s largest voluntary health agency dedicated to blood cancer.
