PFCU Employees Stroll in the Park to Help the Community

Philadelphia, PA, April 13, 2011 –Employees of Philadelphia Federal Credit Union “strolled” on Sunday, April 10, to lend their support and help raise funds for the 5th annual “Stroll in the Park,” sponsored by the Special People in the Northeast, Inc. (SPIN ). Volunteers walked the grounds of Pennypack Park along the Delaware River for approximately two miles.
Adults, children and their pets were all welcome to participate and join in the festivities that included a complimentary “brown bag” lunch. PFCU was a sponsor and employees also received pledges from family and friends. All proceeds from the event will support a life of possibilities for Adults and Children with Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities and Autism.
The mission of SPIN, Inc. is to develop community resources, services and initiatives in support of people with mental, physical and/or sensory impairments so that they may exercise responsibly their choice, preference and right, without limitation, to a fully integrated life as a citizen of our community.
PFCU was founded in 1951 and is currently among the top credit unions in the city, serving the entire Philadelphia and Bloomsburg, PA communities, in addition to the owners, employees and directors of over 400 organizations throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware.
