Point Breeze Credit Union’s Annual Charity Golf Tournament “The Harvest” returns

The annual event has raised $160,000 for the Maryland Food Bank since its inception

HUNT VALLEY, MD (May 13, 2024) — Point Breeze Credit Union is proud to announce the return of their annual “The Harvest” Golf Tournament.

This year’s tournament moves to Hillendale Country Club in Phoenix, MD, a fresh location for returning and new participants alike.

Point Breeze Credit Union members, members of the surrounding community and local businesses are all invited to participate and/or sponsor this year’s event.

For six years, “The Harvest” Golf Tournament has offered an afternoon of premier golf, lively competition, and the opportunity to give back to fellow Marylanders in need. Last year’s tournament raised $30,000 to support Maryland Food Bank’s ongoing hunger-relief efforts across the state.

With the support of participating golfers and many generous community sponsors over the years, “The Harvest” has helped Point Breeze Credit Union raise a combined total of $160,000 in donations to Maryland Food Bank since the tournament’s inaugural year in 2018.

Aside from friendly bragging rights, players compete for honors that include: Top 3 teams (Captain’s Choice/Scramble), Longest Drive (Men’s & Women’s), Hole in One, Closest to the Pin and various door prizes.

“At Point Breeze we believe in giving back to the communities where we live and work and helping to improve the lives of our neighbors,” said Tonia Niedzialkowski, President and CEO of Point Breeze Credit Union. “We are excited to hold our “The Harvest” golf tournament again this year and we look forward to bringing together our members, employees, and business partners to support the important work of the Maryland Food Bank.”

“At the Maryland Food Bank, we are working every day to meet the immediate needs of our food-insecure neighbors, while simultaneously addressing the root causes of hunger,” said Carmen Del Guercio, president and CEO of the Maryland Food Bank. “This is an exciting event each year, and we are so grateful for the continued generosity and dedication of the entire Point Breeze Credit Union community.”
