Political analyst Stuart Rothenberg to keynote NAFCU’s 2014 Congressional Caucus

WASHINGTON, DC (May 7, 2014) -- Nationally known editor, columnist and analyst Stuart Rothenberg will be the keynote speaker for the National Association of Federal Credit Unions (NAFCU2014 Congressional Caucus, where credit union attendees from around the country will come together to gain an in-depth understanding of vital legislative issues and make their voices heard in the nation’s capital. NAFCU’s Congressional Caucus will be held Sept. 9-12 at the Mayflower Renaissance Hotel in Washington, D.C.

“Rothenberg’s keen perspective on the current political landscape will help credit union members gain a better understanding of its effects on the industry and what to look for in the 2014 elections,” said Dan Berger, NAFCU’s president and CEO. “With the increasing regulatory burdens facing credit unions, now is the time to advocate for your members. Come to Washington, and let policy makers know that ‘enough is enough’ when it comes to overregulation of credit unions.”

Rothenberg is editor and publisher of The Rothenberg Political Report and a columnist for Roll Call, a leading D.C. and Capitol Hill political news publication. During his presentation, Rothenberg will speak about the upcoming midterm elections and their potential repercussions on the credit union industry. Rothenberg was an on-air political analyst for CNN for more than a decade and has appeared on “Meet the Press,” “Nightline” and many other television programs.

Attendees will also get to hear from Berger, who will deliver opening-day remarks, and a robust lineup of speakers from the House, Senate and federal agencies during the Caucus general sessions.
