Premier Members Credit Union announces Fire Relief Fund results

Premier Members Credit Union raised $41,700 to benefit community foundation Boulder County’s 2020 Fires Relief Fund

Premier Members Credit Union, its members and the public raised $41,700 through its Fire Relief Fund. The Premier Members Fire Relief Fund provided a $25,000 match to benefit Community Foundation Boulder County’s 2020 Fires Relief Fund which supported individuals, families, and nonprofit organizations affected by the Cal-Wood and Lefthand Canyon Fires.

Community Foundation Boulder County will apply donations made to the Premier Members Fire Relief Fund to nonprofit organizations and municipal and county entities in order to support immediate relief needs, and longer-term recovery needs for individuals and organizations. Additionally, Community Foundation Boulder County will use the funds to make grants directly to nonprofit organizations that are affected by the fires, or are providing additional services to the community because of the fires.

“This year has been relentlessly challenging. It is critical we coordinate our efforts to support our neighbors through this added crisis in Boulder County. Partnering with the county and organizations like Premier Members Credit Union, we hope will help ease the burden on individuals, families, and organizations,” said Tatiana Hernandez, CEO of Community Foundation Boulder County.

In addition to the Premier Members Fire Relief Fund, Premier Members Credit Union also launched its Colorado Wildfire Members Assistance Program. Members impacted by the Colorado wildfires were encouraged to contact the credit union to explore financial options while experiencing hardship as a result of the fires.
