Presentations on fraud trends, faster payments highlight CO-OP Networking Lounge at GAC

CO-OP in booth #301 in exhibit hall will explore the “Power of How” for credit union growth

RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CA (February 22, 2017) — CO-OP Financial Services is expanding its presence at next week’s GAC gathering beyond the exhibition floor with the CO-OP Networking Lounge, which will include presentations on Monday and Tuesday on fraud trends and faster payments. In addition, CO-OP in booth #301 in the exhibit hall will explore the “Power of How” for credit union growth.

“CO-OP believes that the answer to how credit unions can grow in today’s market lies in ensuring members’ security while maintaining a seamless mobile, online and in-branch member experience,” said Todd Clark, President/CEO, CO-OP. “CO-OP provides the ‘Power of How’ to grow, as we will demonstrate at GAC. The end goal of everything CO-OP does is to help credit union maximize revenue opportunities, especially for card transaction interchange, and attain or remain top-of-wallet.”

The CO-OP Networking Lounge will be located just outside the exhibition floor entrance, to the right as attendees approach the doors. The lounge will be open on the Monday and Tuesday of the conference, and will offer not least among its attractions the chance for credit union executives to connect with colleagues, check email, grab a snack and perhaps rest their weary feet.

In addition, from 3 to 4:15 p.m. both days, the lounge will be the setting for presentations on key industry developments. CO-OP’s John Buzzard, Fraud Specialist, will review the major current fraud trends and examine how credit unions can fight back. This will be followed by CO-OP’s Michelle Thornton, Director of Product Development, who will cover how credit unions can navigate faster payments and the accelerating financial technology landscape.

CO-OP’s booth 301, located at the front of the exhibition floor as attendees enter, will include the opportunity for attendees to meet Clark, who became President/CEO of CO-OP in late June last year. A “Meet and Greet” will be held from 5 to 6 p.m. in the booth, during the conference’s opening exhibition session on Sunday.

Throughout exhibition hours, CO-OP’s booth will focus on how credit unions can growth their businesses through strategies and solutions that make it both safe and seamless for members to interact with their credit union accounts. CO-OP is a payments and financial technology company offering solutions that include CO-OP ATM and CO-OP Shared Branching, a member-serving call center, digital delivery systems, card payments, member engagement solutions and security innovations.

In addition CO-OP will be sponsoring two events at Marriott Marquis Hotel, located across the street from the convention hall. Taking place on the Tuesday of the conference, CO-OP is underwriting the Trailblazers Awards Reception at 6 p.m. and the “Late Night at the GAC Featuring Spencer Duo Dueling Pianos” beginning at 8:30 p.m.

Exhibition hours at GAC are being held Sunday, February 26-Tuesday, February 28, 2017, at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C.
