PrimeTrust Federal Credit Union helps community
MUNCIE, IN (December 12, 2016) — Since 1990, PrimeTrust and its members have been helping area residents by providing Christmas gifts. This year, PrimeTrust teamed up with Bridges Community Services, Brookside Haven Health Care Center, LifeStream – Angel Worx, and Youth Opportunity Center to help 92 individuals have a merrier Christmas.
A Giving Wreath is displayed at each of the three PrimeTrust branches giving members the opportunity to take a tag and purchase a gift for a person in need. PrimeTrust then wraps the gifts and delivers them to the agency. Any gifts not purchased by members are bought by the Credit Union using the money they raised during the year selling pies and candy. In addition, employees may pay $2 to wear jeans on Fridays. During November and December, that money is used for the Christmas charities.
“We have the most generous members,” said Carol Bradshaw, PrimeTrust Marketing Director and PrimeTrust Charity Committee Member. “We have kids asking for bicycles and members buy them bikes. All some kids want is a bag of chips, but our members don’t just buy one bag of chips – they buy a whole box of chips! I love seeing the community come together for this cause!”
