PrimeWay Federal Credit Union gave Houston families free groceries for Thanksgiving

HOUSTON, TX (November 29, 2016) — PrimeWay Federal Credit Union hosted a free grocery giveaway, Monday, November 21, 2016 to help Houston families prepare for Thanksgiving. Since 1937, PrimeWay has been actively supporting meaningful causes and creatively giving back to the Houston community as much as possible. This holiday season PrimeWay continued this tradition with a grocery giveaway.

The free grocery giveaway took place at Joe V’s Smart Shop located at 12009 Northwest Freeway, Houston, TX 77092. From 9 a.m. -1 p.m., the first 250 families received $25 worth of groceries. There were also giveaways, prizes and activities during the event.

“As an organization, we truly pride ourselves on giving back to the community and having fun while doing so,” said Michelle Oshinski, chief culture officer at PrimeWay. “The PrimeWay Turkey Day Giveaway gave us another opportunity to do what we love, and we were honored to be able to launch the holiday season by doing something that will positively impact the community we serve.”
