PSECU sponsors Women’s Entrepreneurship Luncheon

HARRISBURG, PA (December 15, 2015) — PSECU was proud to sponsor the Penn State Women’s Entrepreneurship Luncheon on November 18th. The luncheon was held as part of Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) at Penn State and hosted by Penn State Small Business Development Center. This annual event aims to “celebrate entrepreneurial minded women of influence.” As part of their sponsorship, PSECU provided free registrations for Penn State students who attended the luncheon.

At the luncheon, PSECU announced their new Internship Endowment for GEW: the PSECU Internship in the Global Entrepreneurship Week Program. By establishing this fund, the credit union has made a commitment to provide students with the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the areas of entrepreneurship, intrapreneurship and its impact on the local and global economies through assisting with the coordination of GEW.

PSECU also provided all attendees with vouchers for a signed copy of Anne Deeter Gallaher’s latest book, The Future Belongs to Students in High Gear. Gallaher was featured as the guest speaker at the luncheon. Attendees were able to redeem their voucher at a book signing by Gallaher. The book signing was held at the recently opened PSECU State College Financial Center located at 502 East College Avenue.
