PSECU’s Financial Education Center at HACC’s York Campus now open
HARRISBURG, PA (February 8, 2016) — On February 1, 2016, PSECU opened a new Financial Education Center at HACC’s York Campus. This marks PSECU’s 21st on-campus location. The location will provide PSECU assistance to students, faculty and staff who are eligible for membership in the credit union.
In addition to providing financial services, PSECU is committed to engaging with HACC’s York Campus through internship opportunities for students and financial education workshops. PSECU’s paid on-campus internship opportunities will be available to students who are interested in gaining real-world experience in areas such as marketing and business operations. Financial education workshops will also be available for members of the campus community who are interested in learning more about managing their finances.
A grand opening celebration took place on February 3, 2016. Dr. John Sygielski, President of HACC, and Barbara Bowker, Vice President of Marketing and Membership Development for PSECU, joined together in the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new location. In addition, the event included interactive activities for students, faculty and staff. All members of the campus community are invited to visit PSECU in the George M. Leader Building to learn more.
Opened in 1934, PSECU was founded by 22 ordinary people who pooled $90 and made an extraordinary commitment to each other: To create a financial institution where collective resources benefit all members. Today, PSECU continues that legacy as Pennsylvania’s largest credit union, with $8 billion in assets, more than 500,000 members, and a convenient anytime, anywhere digital-first banking model.
