PSECU’s Kate Moyer named to Pennsylvania Business Central’s 2023 Foremost Under 40 list

HARRISBURG, PA (November 28, 2023) — Kate Moyer, PSECU’s Content & Communications Writer and Press Contact, has been selected to the Pennsylvania Business Central’s 2023 Foremost Under 40 list.

This prestigious recognition is awarded to young professionals aged 40 and under who have significantly impacted their respective fields. Kate’s contributions to her work have been instrumental in helping PSECU connect with its members and the community.

In response to this recognition, Moyer said, “It’s an honor to be included in this list with the other designees. I’m fortunate to be part of an incredible team at PSECU and to be able to serve my community – something I care deeply about.”

Since coming to the credit union in 2021, Moyer has established a strong relationship with PSECU members by providing valuable information and engaging content in her communications. Her work has helped raise awareness of PSECU’s mission and values in the community. In her writing, Moyer creates meaningful experiences for both members and nonmembers. Additionally, she specializes in public relations, crisis communications, and corporate communication strategy.

Moyer’s achievements go beyond her day-to-day tasks. She is heavily involved in the diversity, inclusion and belonging movement at PSECU, serving on the Governance, Communications, and Employee Resource Group (ERG) committee. In 2022, Moyer founded the first ERG at PSECU, called RISE (Reach, Inspire, Share, and Empower). This group provides professional and personal development, learning, and engagement opportunities focused on the unique challenges women face in the workplace and at home.

Outside of work, she upholds the credit union motto of “people helping people” through her work in the community. Moyer currently dedicates her time as a board member and Development Committee Chair at Open Stage of Harrisburg and serves on the Fundraising Committee for LEAF Project PA. Locally, she has previously held board positions with Friends of Midtown, Friends of Fort Hunter, Downtown Daily Bread, Shalom House, and York Young Professionals. In 2022, she founded a unique, women-only book club, the Capital Reader’s Society.

Moyer holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Political Science from Temple University. She lives in the City of Harrisburg with her husband and daughter.
