West Lafayette, Ind. – June 27, 2012
– Purdue Federal Credit Union (Purdue Federal) has teamed with Phil Hunley of Auto Sales and Service to offer members in Tippecanoe and surrounding counties a free auto-buying service.

“Excellent member service drives everything we do at Purdue Federal,” said Vice President of Lending Nikki Gaylord. “We’re excited to give our community access to this no-hassle service and car-buying expertise of Phil Hunley.”

This free auto-buying service helps credit union members with all their car-buying needs, including:

  • Dealer negotiations
  • Financing, GAP insurance and extended warranties
  • Trusted advice
  • Vehicle delivery
  • Assistance selling a vehicle

Individuals ready to purchase a new or pre-owned vehicle should complete a request form at purduefed.com/findmycar and stop by a Purdue Federal branch to get pre-approved for their auto loan. People who have general questions about the car-buying process may also contact Phil at 765.427.2576.

About Purdue Federal
Purdue Federal Credit Union (Purdue Federal) was founded as Purdue Employees Federal Credit Union (PEFCU) on the Purdue University campus in 1969. In December 2010, PEFCU acquired Members United Federal Credit Union through a merger. At the time of merger, the credit union changed its name to Purdue Federal to better reflect its membership base, which includes students, faculty and staff, and communities where Purdue University and its regional campuses operate. Purdue Federal is a member-owned financial cooperative with more than 60,000 members nationwide and assets at more than $700 million.
