Washington, DC (February 17, 2026) |
The National Association of Latino Credit Unions and Professionals (NLCUP) proudly celebrates Max Villaronga, President and CEO of Raiz Federal Credit Union and Secretary of the NLCUP Board of Directors, on his induction into the 2026 African American Credit Union Coalition (AACUC) Hall of Fame.
Max will be formally honored on March 3, 2026, in Washington, D.C., during the 2026 African American Credit Union Coalition Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony. The ceremony recognizes leaders whose work advances financial inclusion, expands access to opportunity, and strengthens communities across the credit union movement. This recognition marks Max as the first El Pasoan and the first Latino of Puerto Rican descent to receive this distinguished honor.
Max has been part of NLCUP’s story from the very beginning. As a founding member of the Board of Directors, he joined the inaugural board in 2020 following NLCUP’s establishment as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, helping transform years of grassroots leadership into a growing national movement. His guidance has helped expand NLCUP’s ability to invest in
leaders, strengthen programs, and build a community that continues to uplift Latino professionals across the country.
“Max’s leadership has been instrumental in shaping NLCUP into the organization it is today,” said Barbara Mojica, Executive Director of NLCUP. “His dedication, generosity of spirit, and commitment to our community are a powerful reflection of the impact he continues to make across the movement.”
NLCUP extends its deepest congratulations to Max Villaronga on this well-deserved recognition and celebrates the legacy of leadership he continues to build for future generations.
