Record engagement on annual Youth Month promotion

Marshall, MI (June 2, 2025) |

Each year, Marshall Community Credit Union (MCCU) hosts a month-long promotion focused on youth financial wellness in April. Through creative incentives and educational outreach, Youth Month engaged over 700 members and awarded more than $9,000 in incentives during the month—a testament to the credit union’s commitment to youth financial wellness.

“Youth Month is more than just giveaways and games—it’s about setting a strong foundation for future success,” said Laura Van Dyke, MCCU Financial Education Specialist. “When kids and teens engage with money early on, they gain knowledge that last a lifetime.”

Throughout the month, MCCU encouraged youth members and their parents to take action with their finances through making deposits and opening accounts alongside financial education programming, all designed to be fun, accessible, and rewarding. Whether it was a first deposit or a new checking account, each milestone was an opportunity to learn and grow.

“MCCU is proud to celebrate our youngest members and the families who support them,” Van Dyke added. “We’re not just celebrating Youth Month—we’re investing in our community’s future.”
