Register now for NCUA & FTC webinar on protecting your credit and identity on Oct. 26

ALEXANDRIA, VA (October 5, 2023) — In recognition of National Cybersecurity Awareness Month, the NCUA and Federal Trade Commission are hosting a webinar titled “Protect Your Credit and Identity with Cybersecurity Awareness” on Thursday, October 26.

This webinar will bring together experts from the federal government to help credit unions and consumers increase their knowledge of:

The economic consequences of cyber fraud and scams;

  • How to spot cyber theft;
  • How consumers and credit unions can prevent cybercrime; and
  • Available resources that help protect consumer credit and identity.This hour-long webinar will begin at 1 p.m. Eastern, and registration is now open. There is no charge to attend. Please email technical questions about accessing the webinar to uccwebinar@ncua.gov or uccsupport@ncua.gov.

Participants will be able to log into the webinar and view it on their computers or mobile devices using the registration link. They should allow pop-ups from this website. The webinar will be closed captioned and archived approximately one week after the live event.
