REMN launches new renovation lending webinar series designed to educate brokers and originators how to market and close more renovation loans

ISELIN, N.J (May 23, 2017) — REMN Wholesale (www.remnwholesale.com), one of the nationwide leaders in renovation lending, is launching a new monthly webinar series designed to demystify renovation mortgage products and clearly communicate ways these loans can be marketed successfully to both real estate professionals and the end borrower. Led by Damon Richardson, REMN Wholesale’s renovation lending specialist, the webinar series will provide brokers and originators with a clear understanding of reno loan products, the nuances involved and how to convince Realtors® to recommend these loans to their own clients. The first webinar in the series, which will focus on FHA 203(k) products, will take place on May 25th, and interested participants can register online at https://attendee.gotowebinar.com/register/718685162937967361to receive a link to participate, in addition to update alerts regarding future webinar dates.

REMN’s proprietary research has found that while many brokers, originators and Realtors are aware of renovation lending products, there are a myriad of misconceptions regarding how they can be used. The overall perception regarding these loans is that they are unreliable products, often difficult to close even under ideal circumstances. In reality, those with a working knowledge of renovation products know firsthand how quickly these mortgages can actually be closed, their ability to strengthen relationships between originators and Realtors, along with reasons why these loans should be marketed not just to potential borrowers, but to existing home owners as well.

The first webinar in REMN’s renovation lending series will focus on 203(k) products, a loan that many in the industry mistakenly consider for use only when a home is under foreclosure or in dire need of repair. Future webinars will discuss the attributes of FNMA HomeStyle products, best practices in closing reno loans and how to market these products to different stakeholders in the housing industry.

“Renovation loans are some of the most misunderstood mortgage products in the industry. They are incredibly powerful tools for moving dated inventory, especially with millennial home buyers. These loans also act as excellent referral generators, but there are so many misunderstandings about them that they’re rarely even mentioned as an option. The more educated people are about reno loans, including borrowers, home owners, brokers and Realtors, the better the entire housing industry will be,” commented Carl Markman, director of national sales for REMN Wholesale.

The renovation lending webinar series is part of REMN Wholesale’s mission to be the ultimate wholesale partner in the mortgage industry. In addition to offering a full range of renovation lending products, REMN offers a full range of government and conventional loans, along with loans for manufactured homes, all supported by the same award winning closing department that has made the lender one of the leading wholesale resources for mortgage brokers and bankers across the U.S. Its industry leading commitment of same-day turn times, year round, and dedicated internal helpdesk, enforce REMN’s commitment to a superior customer experience.
