The REV Rocks Concert Series at Greenfield Lake Amphitheater is officially underway! Running from April through November, this season is shaping up to be the best yet, with an exciting lineup of performances and community engagement.
As part of its ongoing commitment to community support, REV has already donated $1,000 to local nonprofits during this concert season. Surfers Healing NC and Play It Forward Wilmington each received $500 contributions celebrated prior to the evening concert.
Play It Forward Wilmington brought the energy to the crowd by setting up drums and guitars for concertgoers to try, inviting both kids and adults to experience the joy of making music. The nonprofit is dedicated to providing musical instruments to children who may not otherwise have access to them.
Surfers Healing NC, the local chapter of a national nonprofit, offers transformative surfing experiences to individuals on the autism spectrum, creating a day of fun, empowerment, and connection through the ocean.
“It’s especially exciting to celebrate these check donations at the concerts,” said Dori Bishara, Community Engagement Coordinator for REV. “We’re able to amplify the great work these nonprofits are doing in front of the thousands of concertgoers we connect with over the summer.”
REV will continue its partnership with local nonprofits throughout the REV Rock Concert Series, using the platform to spotlight meaningful causes and invest in the Wilmington community.
