REV Federal Credit Union spreads holiday cheer with donation to Boys & Girls Home of North Carolina

Wilmington, NC (December 22, 2025) |

REV Federal Credit Union proudly donated nearly $1,000 worth of holiday gifts to children residing in the Rotary Cottage at the Boys & Girls Home of North Carolina this Christmas. The Boys & Girls Home provides housing, safety, and support for children who cannot remain in the care of their parents, and some reside on campus until they age out of the program.

In partnership with the Wilmington Rotary Club — including a generous matching contribution from a fellow Rotarian to bring the total gifts to almost $2,000 — REV helped make the holiday season brighter for children ages 8 to 15. Each child received gifts selected specifically from their personal wish lists, including items such as Air Jordans, games, and books, ensuring every child felt uniquely celebrated. In addition, the group stocked the cottage with snacks and beverages as an added surprise before Christmas morning.

The Boys & Girls Home serves youth across 26 counties, offering a safe haven and emergency shelter for children in immediate need. Located on a scenic campus along Lake Waccamaw, the organization provides a stable and nurturing environment that supports healing, growth, and hope.

“Supporting organizations that strengthen and uplift the communities we serve is central to our mission at REV,” said Dori Bishara, Community Engagement Coordinator for REV.  “We are honored to help bring joy to the children at the Boys & Girls Home this holiday season.”

REV Federal Credit Union remains committed to community engagement and to supporting youth-serving organizations across the region.
