MADISON, WI (June 25, 2014) -- Julio Rios, UW Credit Union’s Associate Vice President of Mortgage Lending, was elected to the Wisconsin Mortgage Bankers Association’s Board of Directors. He was sworn in during the organization’s annual installation event held in Pewaukee this past June.
“It’s an honor to be selected for this position,” said Rios. “I am proud to have a positive impact on the industry by continuing to make the financing process seamless and transparent for Wisconsin home buyers.”
Rios has 20 years of experience working in home loan financing. He began his role at the credit union as director of mortgage lending in 2005 and was promoted to his current position in 2013. Under his leadership, the organization was named the top mortgage lender in Dane County for purchase financing the past four years and has been consecutively ranked as one of the state’s top lenders.
“Purchasing a home is likely the largest financial transaction most people will make,” said Rios. “I’m looking forward to helping ensure that lending professionals have the tools they need to put home buyers’ best interests first.”
The Wisconsin Mortgage Bankers Association represents the mortgage industry’s legislative and regulatory interests before the Wisconsin legislature, the governor’s office, the Wisconsin Department of Financial Institutions and other regulatory agencies. The organization also educates members on industry trends.
