Robins Federal Credit Union names 2014 MEST Scholarship Recipients

WARNER ROBINS, GA (May 7, 2014) — Robins Federal Credit Union recently presented five high school seniors from Middle Georgia with the Robins Federal Credit Union Most Excellent Senior Team (MEST) Scholarship.

The winners were as follows:

 

  • Tiffani Hinson, Telfair County High School
  • Joshua Holden, Veterans High School
  • Jamesa Moreman, Northeast Magnet High School
  • Sholeh Rezaee, Houston County High School
  • Tara Smith, Hawkinsville High School

Ninety-seven high school seniors applied for the scholarship. The winners were chosen based on their GPA, SAT scores, extracurricular and community activities, a written essay and financial need. Each scholarship winner will receive a total of $4,000 ($1,000 per academic year.)

“An outstanding group of young people applied for this year’s MEST Scholarship, and it was difficult to select just five winners. We are proud of the winners’ achievements, and look forward to watching them do great things in the future,” John Rhea, President and CEO of Robins Federal Credit Union, said.

Robins Federal Credit Union has awarded over $250,000.00 to graduating seniors since the MEST Scholarship was founded 18 years ago.
