Mortgage Network, Inc., one of the largest independent mortgage lenders in the eastern U.S., announced Rochelle McFarland has joined the company's Danvers, Massachusetts branch as a loan officer, where she will help meet the home financing needs of area residents.
A 10-year resident of the North Shore area, McFarland (NMLS #1914250) began her financial services career as a stockbroker for Salomon Smith Barney in New York City. She then moved on to become a private banker for JPMorgan Chase at its Madison Avenue location. She and her family own and manage rental properties in the Northeast, which helps her to stay on top of current real estate trends and market conditions.

McFarland said Mortgage Network is continuing to offer and close mortgage loans during the pandemic, although transactions may take longer than usual.
"Conditions and inventory are evolving rapidly," she said. "For example, it's a great time to refinance because rates are so low. However, mortgage rates change on a daily basis and sometimes even multiple times a day. That's why it's incredibly important for anyone thinking of buying a home or refinancing to partner with an experienced, trusted mortgage professional, who can help navigate the process smoothly."
McFarland also advises borrowers looking to refinance their current home or purchase a new one to start preparing all their financial paperwork now. McFarland earned her Bachelor of Science from the University of Scranton in Pennsylvania and an MBA in international business and finance from Schiller International University in Madrid, Spain. Fluent in Spanish, McFarland also has a Master of Arts Teaching in Spanish from Salem State University in Massachusetts. She has taught Spanish at Dexter Southfield School in Brookline, Massachusetts and North Andover High School.
