Join the hunt for a chance to win $500 while exploring the outdoors. The RCU Foundation has held a rock hunt as part of the Rock the Riverfront featuring the Charity Classic event since 2017 – And it is back again! The Classic Rock Hunt is sponsored by Market & Johnson and will start on June 19, 2023. Clues will be posted at a charity partner or sponsor location by 10 a.m. each day and then on the Royal Credit Union Facebook page at 8 p.m. each evening. The rock could be hidden in any of the counties where the partner charities are located. The first person to find the Classic Rock will win the $500 cash prize.
Rock the Riverfront featuring the Charity Classic will be held in person on June 24 and includes a 10K and 2 mile run/walk, and a youth run/walk option as well as family activities and food trucks. Virtual race options are also available. Registration is open now until June 22 at rcu.org/Race, or in-person at Royal Credit Union Corporate Office on June 23 or 24. Proceeds from the 2023 event will benefit three workforce development organizations: Junior Achievement of Wisconsin Northwest Area, L.E. Phillips Career Development Center, Workforce Resource Inc. These organizations work with individuals at a variety of life stages to develop career readiness skills and find employment opportunities. The RCU Foundation is proud to support these organizations that are vital to the wellbeing of individuals in the Chippewa Valley and to creating supportive communities.
