Royal Credit Union Rock the Riverfront “Rock” Hunt winner announced

Eau Claire, WI-Royal Credit Union’s Rock the Riverfront “Rock” Hunt sponsored by Market & Johnson is over.  Royal Credit Union (Royal) congratulates Justine Abel from Eau Claire County for finding the “rock” hiding under a small footbridge near in Irvine Park in Chippewa Falls on Wednesday, June 21.

Justine says “We were definitely hunting for the rock! My fiancé went to Whitehall to get the third clue and figured out it was “bridge”.  Then we were able to piece together the other clues to figure out it would be near a bridge at the Irvine Park Zoo in Chippewa because the second clue spelled Chippewa.”

The prize will be awarded on June 23 at the RCU Foundation’s Rock the Riverfront featuring the Charity Classic event.

Justine and her fiancé intend to use the $500 cash prize to continue to fund their growing animal rescue hobby farm and pay for the medical needs of their animals.

Rock the Riverfront is held in downtown Eau Claire’s Phoenix Park, and includes a 10K and 2 mile run/walk, ½ and ¼ mile youth races, a “No-K” for non-runners, music, family games, and food trucks. Registration is available online through 11:59 pm on Thursday, June 21, or walk-in registrations will be accepted up to 30 minutes prior to the start of each race on June 23. The 10K begins at 9am, the 2 mile will start at 10:30am, the “No-K” gets underway at 11:00am followed by the two kids’ races at 11:15am and 11:25am.
