Royal Credit Union and The Salvation Army have partnered to present Giving Never Melts Away, Royal’s annual toy drive. New and unwrapped toys for children of all ages are being accepted at all Royal Credit Union locations during regular business hours from November 1 - November 30. Once the toys are collected, they are distributed by The Salvation Army to families in the communities Royal Credit Union serves.
Giving Never Melts Away was created to assist families in need and bring smiles to children’s faces during the holidays. Royal values making a difference in the communities it serves and knows its credit union Members appreciate the opportunity to help their neighbors. Last year alone, over 700 toys were collected and donated to The Salvation Army.
“We are beyond excited to have this opportunity to give back to the community once again this year”, said Vicki Hoehn, Vice President of Community Engagement, “Last year we reached a record high in community participation and it is a great feeling to know that we are able to help many families in need.”
Once the toys are received, Salvation Army employees pick up all of the donations and coordinate distribution to families in the area. Those donating toys are encouraged to remember children over the age of 13 when selecting toys to contribute, as this group typically receives the lowest amount of toy donations. Royal Credit Union is proud to be able to make a positive impact in the lives we touch and remind those in need that Giving Never Melts Away.
