The SAC Foundation, the charitable arm of Cobalt Credit Union, is proud to announce the success of its annual Golf Charity Event, which raised $36,379 to support veteran-focused initiatives. Of the total funds raised, $12,000 was donated directly to JAVELAN—an organization dedicated to providing funding for service dogs to help veterans and retired first responders live more independent lives. The remaining funds will be used to support additional veteran services throughout the region.
Held at Tiburon Golf Club, this year’s event brought together 25 teams for a day of fun, community and commitment to a cause that reflects the Foundation’s mission. Funds were raised through a combination of sponsorships, raffles, and auction items, marking the SAC Foundation’s most successful golf event to date.
“At Cobalt, supporting our military and veteran communities is more than a mission—it’s who we are,” said Robin Larsen, President and CEO of Cobalt Credit Union. “We’re incredibly proud to see the SAC Foundation’s efforts continue to grow, and we’re honored to partner with organizations like JAVELAN that make a real impact in the lives of those who have served.”
The SAC Foundation supports initiatives across eastern Nebraska and western Iowa, with a focus on military, youth, education, and community development. The annual golf event is one of its flagship fundraisers, designed to bring together individuals and businesses who share a passion for giving back.
“This event was a wonderful reminder of what we can accomplish when we come together for a greater purpose,” said Keli Wragge, Board Chair of the SAC Foundation. “We are grateful to every participant, donor, and volunteer who helped make this our most impactful event yet.”
