San Diego County Credit Union celebrates grand opening of its new Oceanside branch

San Diego County Credit Union (SDCCU), San Diego’s largest locally-owned financial institution, has opened its 28th branch location. A successful grand opening celebration was recently held at the new branch located in Oceanside, at 625 College Blvd., near Walmart. The new branch offers loan and new account stations, teller windows, safe deposit boxes, an exterior state-of-the-art ATM and convenient hours. The branch is open Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The public is invited to visit the newly opened branch.

In attendance at the ribbon cutting ceremony were: SDCCU President and CEO Teresa Halleck; SDCCU Chief Operating Officer Tum Vongsawad; SDCCU Oceanside branch manager John Newhouse; SDCCU board of directors Chair Allan Shaw; SDCCU board of directors Vice-Chair Shirley Jackson; Oceanside Mayor Jim Wood, Oceanside City Council Member Gary Filien and Oceanside Chamber of Commerce Chair-Elect Chip Dykes. Among the highlights of the grand opening was an appearance by Heath Bell, San Diego Padres relief pitcher and National League All-Star.

“We are extremely excited about our new branch in Oceanside which will serve the North County community at large,” said Halleck. “The Oceanside branch expands our north county presence to ten full-service branches to serve the needs of our members.”

SDCCU staff welcomed hundreds of people who attended the day-long grand opening festivities, which featured complimentary refreshments and opportunities to win prizes, including a $1,000 cash grand prize, tickets to LEGOLAND California and SEA LIFE Carlsbad Aquarium compliments of LEGOLAND plus a $200 Visa gift card and a one-night stay and spa treatment at the La Costa Resort & Spa.
