SAN DIEGO, CA (September 29, 2014) — San Diego County Credit Union® (SDCCU®), San Diego’s largest locally-owned financial institution, was a proud sponsor of 25th annual AIDS Walk/Run 2014, San Diego’s largest fundraising event to help fight HIV/AIDS and stand up for those impacted by the disease.
More than 8,000 individuals, teams, social clubs, schools and universities and local organizations came together for the 25th annual AIDS Walk/Run to remember those who have been lost to the disease and to raise funds to support the more than 20,000 San Diegans living with HIV/AIDS. More than a dozen different agencies serving thousands of clients rely on funds raised at the annual AIDS Walk/Run to help provide essential prevention and care programs to thousands of men, women and children living with HIV/AIDS.
The AIDS Walk/Run, an event held by the San Diego LGBT Community Center, was held Saturday, Sept. 27, at the corner of Normal Street and University Avenue in the heart of Hillcrest. For more event information, visit thecentersd.org or aidswalksd.org.
